Ingredients
Cake
- Butter, 110g
- Greek yogurt, 280ml
- Sugar, 200g
- Semolina flour, 260g
- Baking powder, 1 tsp
Syrup
- Sugar, 230g
- Lemon juice, 2 tsp
- Water, 160ml
Instructions
Cake
- Preheat oven to 160C.
- In a bowl, mix butter, yogurt and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, mix semolina and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Fill a cake tin greased with butter.
- Bake for 25 min.
Syrup
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan.
- On medium heat, stir until sugar dissolves.
- Bring mixture to a boil and let simmer for 10-15 min.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- When the cake is baked, remove from oven and spoon syrup over the cake.
- Let the cake cool, then cut into slices and serve.
