Tartar Sauce
From Try This At Home by Richard Blais. Makes about 1.25 cups.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
- 1/4 cup cornichons, minced
- 1/4 cup capers. rinsed and minced
- 1 small stalk celery, minced
- 1/2 small jalapeƱo, seeded and finely minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, roughly torn
- 2 sprigs fresh tarragon, leaves removed and chopped
- Grated lemon zest, as needed
- 1.5 tbsp lemon juice
- Kosher salt, as needed
- Black pepper, as needed
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk mayonnaise and egg until combined. Add all other ingredients and mix well. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 wk.
