Inspired by Caramelised Sweet Potatoes (Ba Si Di Gua). Adapted from "University Toast".
Ingredients
- Bread
- Sugar, 2 tbsp
- Mirin, 1 tbsp
- Soy sauce, 1 tbsp
- Butter, 10g, melted
- Black sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a pan on medium heat, add sugar, mirin and soy sauce. Stir until dissolved.
- Spread butter onto bread.
- Using a pastry brush, brush sauce onto buttered bread.
- Toast for 5 min.
- Sprinkle with black sesame seeds, and apply another layer of sauce onto bread.
- Serve hot.
